“This is the highlight video of the 1993 World Series game 6 where joe carter hit the game winning homer to win their second straight World Series.”

From Dominick Clafin

“Here it is! The epic World Series-ending Game 6 matchup between the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Philadelphia Phillies.

With the Blue Jays down 6-5 in the bottom of the 9th, Joe Carter hits a World Series-winning 3-Run Homerun! One of the most incredible moments in baseball history!

Series MVP: Paul Molitor

Music: “Hearts of Courage” by Two Steps From Hell.”

This is what game 6 of this World Series was all about: the Phillies playing for their season and just for the opportunity to get to game 7 to have another opportunity to win the 1993 World Series. The Blues Jays, playing to defend their 1993 MLB World Series Championship. And win this World Series so they don’t have to play a game 7 and risk losing this World Series. And that is what made this game so great. Because the Phillies had to win it and did their best to do so.

Quebec

Source:CBC News– a Quebec man being interviewed about Quebec’s Charter of Values.

“The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (French: Société Radio-Canada), branded as CBC/Radio-Canada, is a Canadian federal Crown corporation that serves as the national public broadcaster for both radio and television.[4] The English- and French-language service units of the corporation are commonly known as CBC and Radio-Canada, respectively.”

From Wikipedia

“Organizers are hoping thousands of Quebecers will turn out tomorrow to protest the Parti Quebecois’s proposed Charter of Values. The Charter would ban public employees from wearing religious clothing and symbols at work. Today – two federal ministers launched their own form of protest. And the Montreal Board of Trade warned it could harm the city’s reputation.
And people right across the country said the Charter would create a national chill.”

From CBC News

This is what statism from the Far-Left looks like at its worst. And I say this is coming from the Far-Left, because Quebec is an overwhelmingly socialist province. Statism in Canada at least to this extent with government telling people what they can and can’t wear in public. With what I at least would call Fundamentalist Atheism. (Which is what Communists tend to believe) Which is not only anti-religion, but intolerant of religion. And doesn’t believe individuals should be able to make these decisions for themselves.

This State-Atheism philosophy comes from the Far-Left, generally. And had this been a story about Mississippi, an overwhelmingly fundamentalist Christian state in America, perhaps the capital of the Christian-Right in America, I would’ve called this statism from the Far-Right. We are talking about people who tend to be intolerant of non-Christian religions. With Islam being a big target of there’s. But what is going on in Quebec is clearly statism from the Far-Left. And shouldn’t be tolerated, or any type of religious bigotry coming from government.

Canada is obviously different from America. With their own national identity, culture, way of doing things, Constitution and just about everything else. And they’re a bit left-wing, typically to begin with. But Quebec is even further left than Canada as a whole and probably the most socialist of any province in Canada. So they need to figure out these issues for themselves in their own country. Based on their values and Constitution. But this would clearly be unacceptable and unconstitutional in America and thrown out.

I wish MLB stuck with the 1981 playoff format with the divisional series and extra wildcards. Five-six teams in each league.

CFL 1994 SACRAMENTO GOLDMINERS AT WINNIPEG BLUEBOMBERS

Source:CBC Sports– the Gold Miners and Blue Bombers from 1994.

From CFL Video

David Archer the American pro football quarterback, was the QB for the Sacramento Gold Miners when they were in the CFL and then QB the San Antonio Texans in the CFL in 1995. He had opportunities in the NFL and was even drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 1985, the Washington Redskins picked him up in the late 1980s and I believe he believed played for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Other than his brief stint with the Redskins where he was the 3rd string QB, I don’t think you can say he ever had a real shot to make it in the NFL with a good team. When he did play, he was always playing for teams that were struggling. But he did have good size, mobility, and a strong arm, and had success in the CFL playing for good teams like the Gold Miners and Texans.

A good touchdown drive by the Tiger Cats that was led by QB Tom Clement. This game featured two CFL QB’s that had NFL arms, meaning they were strong and accurate enough to play in the NFL. Tom Clement did get a look by the NFL in the 1970s. And of course Warren Moon started his pro football career with the Edmonton Eskimos, before the Houston Oilers picked him up in the NFL in 1984.

Reggie Slack was a good quarterback for the Auburn Tigers in Southeastern Athletic Conference, who played for Pat Dye who had a lot of success at Auburn. But Slack never made it in the NFL, but one of the advantages of a league like the CFL is that they want the best football players that they can get, at least to a certain extent, because they do have quotas on how many foreign players they will allow each club to have. This all means that if you are a good talented pro football player in America and you don’t make it in the NFL, there’s probably a CFL club that will give you a look.

“CFL 1982 HAMILTON TIGERCATS AT TORONTO ARGONAUTS”

From CFL Video

ESPN is how I got introduced to the CFL in the late 1980s when my family finally got cable. And I saw a few CFL games in the summers during those years. And when the CFL expanded in America in the mid 1990s, I got to watch more CFL games as well.

I like the league and the style of play, I just wish they knew how to promote their league and sell their game a lot better, especially to America.

From CFL Video

The Blue Bombers playing on grass with Dieter Brock as their QB. Dieter Brock was a very successful American QB in the CFL, with a big arm, who was very accurate. But somehow never caught on with an NFL club until the Los Angeles Rams signed him in 1985 when he was already in the 30s. But he could throw the football and you put him on a NFL club with a good passing game and offensive line, Dieter would’ve probably been successful in the NFL.
