Death Penalty Source: This piece was originally posted at FRS Daily Times

You know who my favorite people in politics as a blogger to write about, not that I have any respect for them, political hypocrites, like Religious Conservatives who claim they are Pro-Life. And that life is sacred and so forth which is how they justify their anti-abortion positions. But then tend to be pro- death penalty, so I guess life isn’t that sacred, just some lives. I guess they could change their position on abortion to, pro-innocent life. But that doesn’t have the same ring to it, does it as pro-life.

Of course not all pro-life people are hypocrites on the abortion issue. Like Catholics who tend to be pro Life on abortion and the death penalty. If people who are pro-life on abortion, but pro-death on the death penalty aren’t hypocritical on the life issue, then they sure as hell at least have a flexible position on the life issue right. But hell we live in a liberal democracy right, as much as Religious Conservatives hate that. And rather live in Iran instead or a place like that and I say to them. “What’s keeping you in America, I’ll help you move”.

Just to be be fair there are people who are hypocritical on the life issue. But from the other side, people who are pro-choice on abortion (but not pro-choice on many other things) and Pro Life on the death penalty. People who have no problem with a women who decides to get an abortion in the 10th or 11th month. Because the women decides on her own or perhaps after consulting people including the father of her baby. That “you know what I change my mind, I’m not going to have this baby”. But then have a serious problem with a serial murderer getting the death penalty or even a life sentence in prison, because “they believe its cruel and unusual punishment.

Generally speaking for me I don’t have a problem with any position with what someone takes on Political issues. As long as their positions are factually based and not made of ignorance. It’s the hypocrisy that gets me, like being both pro-life and pro-death, the same person and another person being pro- choice and pro-life. Thats just to convenient for me, make up your mind what are you. If you’re pro-life, you’re pro-life, otherwise don’t call yourselves pro-life. And instead say you’re pro- life on abortion or the death penalty.

Me personally just to put my cards on the table, I’m pro-choice on abortion, well 98-99% pro- choice. I have an issue with partial birth abortion, when the baby is basically ready to be delivered. And just waiting for the mother to deliver the baby and pro-choice on a lot of other issues. But I’m also for protecting innocent life and preventing innocent people from being murdered. That makes me pro- death penalty for some murderers like serial murderers. Who represent a threat to murder again and have no remorse for their past murders. And are even proud of them and I’m also at times pro-war, when I believe innocent life is at stake and we can prevent those innocent lives from being taken. I have no remorse for serial murderers like Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy and how they were put to death.

Not all lives to me are worth saving, especially serial murderers like Charlie Manson. Who didn’t have the balls to murder anyone himself and instead had his crime family perform his evil for him. And then lies about his role in those murders and has been lying about them for over forty years now. If he was killed tomorrow, I wouldn’t celebrate it, I’m not evil or anything, but I would see it as justifiable homicide. And if the person who killed him got off for the killing, I wouldn’t have a problem with it. The man should’ve gotten the death penalty thirty years ago and finally got what he deserve. Not all Lives are worth saving but Innocent Lives sure as hell are.

Abortion

Source:The Majority Report– pro-choice activists on abortion.

“A federal judge in North Dakota has issued a block on the country’s most restrictive abortion law, the “fetal heartbeat” ban, stating it is unconstitutional…

This clip from the Majority Report, live M-F at 12 noon EST and via daily podcast at:The Majority Report.”

Source:The Majority Report

I don’t love it, but I do find it amusing, even sadly so when I hear people who call themselves fiscal Conservatives, who claim government is too big and spends too much money and yet they spend taxpayer dollars on bills that if they don’t know that they’ll get thrown out on constitutional grounds. Their lawyers at the very least are smart enough to know that. And yet taxpayers still have to pay for the costs of them writing their bills and paying for staff’s work and everything else. North Dakota and their anti-abortion bill, that bans abortion after six-weeks of pregnancy, is a perfect example of that.

If you can forget about the unconstitutionality and big government aspects of the bill, with the state stepping in to make health care decision for competent women, you can also dislike the bill for the waste of tax dollars that come with it. Money that could be used to pay for schools, roads, hospitals, law enforcement, jails, prisons, or lowering property taxes, is being spent to pass a bill that will eventually get thrown out. And that is before you add up the costs of what it will take to defend the unconstitutional law in the first place.

But the politics and politicians don’t take positions too many times to be consistent and accurate. But to meet short-term, political goals. Which is why they’re not leaders, but sheep trapped in herds instead.

Ilyse HogueSource:PBS NewsHour– Ilyse Hogue from National Pro-Choice America.

“The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) is an American public broadcaster and television program distributor.[6] It is a nonprofit organization and the most prominent provider of educational television programming to public television stations in the United States, distributing series such as American Experience, America’s Test Kitchen, Antiques Roadshow, Arthur, Barney & Friends, Between the Lions, Cyberchase, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Downton Abbey, Elinor Wonders Why, Finding Your Roots, Frontline, The Magic School Bus, Masterpiece Theater, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Nature, Nova, the PBS NewsHour, Reading Rainbow, Sesame Street, Teletubbies, Keeping up Appearances and This Old House.”

From Wikipedia

“Five states have moved to adopt tighter abortion regulations, including North Dakota, which has the nation’s strictest abortion regulation, outlawing abortions as soon as a fetal heartbeat is detected. Jeffrey Brown gets perspectives from Charmaine Yoest of Americans United for Life and Ilyse Hogue of NARAL Pro-Choice America.”

From the PBS NewsHour

All of these abortion restriction laws are coming in red states that like to complain about big government and government interfering in our lives and so-forth and yet they write laws that do exactly that. And interfere with the most personal of decisions that Americans will ever make which get’s to our healthcare.

In this case women’s healthcare and who decides whether women give birth or not after being pregnant. Apparently big government in red states is government they do not like mainly as it relates to the economy. But big government that they do like as it has to do with our personal lives is okay, because: “It’s in our national interest to have government making these decisions for us. Rather than individuals have the freedom and responsibility to make these decisions for ourselves.”

And then you get to the constitutional and legal aspects of this where these laws will be ruled unconstitutional. Because of the rock solid pro-choice majority on it. And you have states defending laws in court with taxpayer funds that will be ruled unconstitutional. Money that would’ve been spent for other things that would not get thrown out.

CNN_ AC360- 'Anderson Cooper_ Keeping Michele Bachmann Honest'

Source:CNN– Representative Michele Bachmann, was always a great candidate for Anderson Cooper’s RidicuList as well.

Source:The Daily Times

“Michele Bachmann, Queen Of The Dumb, Lies About Planned Parenthood. Michele Bachmann makes up a quote about a Planned Parenthood executive.”

From CNN

Back in the late 1990s and 2000s former President Bush chief political strategist Karl Rove, mastered the political strategy of divide and Conquer. He didn’t invent the political strategy. That probably happened with the Nixon Campaign, but nobody has done it better before or since.

When you know you’re in a tough election and your candidate isn’t very popular, instead of talking about what you’re good at and what you want to do, you try to destroy your opponent. So they seem worse than you are. And you take stories about your opponents and give the worst possible spin about them as you can come up with. To make your opponent look as bad as possible.

Which is exactly what Michele Bachmann has done ever since taking office in the House. And now running for President of the United States. Ah’ an American Citizen, she was born in America, she’s at least 35 years old, she’s free. So in her mind she’s as qualified as anyone else to run for President of the United States. Which by the way are her only qualifications to run for President of the United States.

Representative Bachmann is an expert on nothing, except perhaps ignorance. Makes up things as she goes along and represents what happens when American voters vote style over substance. Representative Bachmann has style, but where’s the rest. Palin and Bachmann are both attractive, funny intentionally and unintentionally and have style. But neither one of them has any there, there.

As a Liberal Democrat my dream ticket for the Republican Party in 2012, are Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann. Or in reverse order. The problem being that at least Sarah Palin understands that she’s not qualified to be President. At least not yet and Michele Bachmann hasn’t gotten that message. And the other problem even though there have been plenty of obvious clues put in front of her, being that the GOP is not dumb enough to nominate either one of them for President. And wouldn’t accept the other for Vice President.

Which is why I’ve always said that Sarah Palin is not going to run for President. Because the GOP Leadership has told her not to. And the Republican establishment would run away from her. I mean, can you imagine a Palin/Bachmann ticket or in reverse order. Against Obama/Biden, all the President has to do: “Look you may not like us, but look at the other crew spending all of their time denying and retracting things that they’ve said. Just trying to prove that they are qualified to be President and Vice President of the United States.”

President Obama would just have to say: “You got to reëlect me for no other reason to prevent the other crew that doesn’t even understand their jobs that they are running for from being elected.” I mean can you imagine President Palin or Bachmann getting that famous 3AM call. What would their response be: “Don’t bother me, I’m sleeping. I’ll defend the country or respond to the crisis when the sun is up.” I’m expecting President Obama to get reelected in 2012 if for no other reason, because of their competition or lack of competition.

And the divisive primary’s that the Republican Party is about to face, where Iowa and New Hampshire could be won by two different candidates and neither one of them is named Mitt Romney. Which would force Romney to make a big play in South Carolina and make a divided Republican race even more divided. But a Palin/Bachmann ticket or the other
